31 DECEMBER 2007 - NEW YEARS EVE

Is it Old Years Eve or New Years Eve... Anyway... It was quite an unusual way to ring out 2007!!!
Not much sun, sea and sand BUT lots of sanding, sweating and swearing!!!

Still a bit to do but at last it is starting to look like a 'home'!

17 DECEMBER

The 'one-eyed' plumber used by the builder turns out to be very dodgy! Tiles have to be ripped up so we can find the leak..

Slowly getting there...
The Builder has made a runner so we are left to fend for ourselves!!! Thankfully John has stepped up to the plate and is doing an awesome job.

We sign all the documents and now 'own' a 99 year lease!
Time to learn Portuguese!
We now begin the task of sourcing a Builder and the unenviable task of building in a foreign country!

We take a trip up to Ponta Malongane to view the property that John has heard is on offer!
It is a perfect winters day and we decide to 'tata ma chance'.
